Charles Hardin

April 3, 1942 — May 14, 2014

Charles Daniel Hardin, 72, of Whitestone, went to heaven on Wednesday, May 14, 2014, to join his Heavenly Father and his parents, Charles D. and Beulah B. Hardin after a long battle with cancer. Born April 3, 1942, in Spartanburg, Charles was married to and is survived by his wife of 51 years, Arna Howell Hardin. Out of their marriage, God blessed them with three children Brian D. Hardin (Dawn), Denise Monday, and Tonya Cooley (David), all of Whitestone; six grandchildren, Shalon and Seth Hardin, Kalyn and Sydney Monday, Mackenzie and Logan Cooley; and a sister, Donna McKinney of Chesnee. Charles attended Cowpens High School and was owner of Charles' Barber Shop in Camp Croft. He was a member of Croft Baptist Church and the Delmar Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed spending time with his family, music, church, fishing, and golf. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00PM Friday, May 16, 2014, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Saturday, May 17, 2014, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, by the Rev. Norman Band and the Rev. Joe Dempsey. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, Honorary escorts are Delmar Masonic Lodge and Trough Shoals Masonic Lodge members. Memorials may be made to Croft Baptist Church, 4190 East Croft Circle, Spartanburg, SC 29302; or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. A special thanks is expressed to the staff of Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home for all their help. The family is at the home of Mrs. Arna Hardin.
