Charles Hansel McAbee (56) passed away on Monday, October 2 at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro, TN. Born in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of Charles Ray McAbee and the late Annie Ruth McAbee. More than anything, Hansel served his Lord by using his gift of music to bring Him glory! He loved being a husband and a father to his daughters and his beloved pets. His legacy will live on in the lives of his family and all who knew him. He is survived by loving wife, Kimberly High McAbee (mother Gayle High); daughters, Samarah, Briannah, and Eleah; sister, Carmella Hedrick (husband Tim Hedrick, nephew Jason Hedrick, and great-nephew Linus); brother-in-law, Dee High (wife Nan High, nephew Matthew Alderson and his wife Emily, and niece Kaydee High); sister-in-law, Laura High (nephew Joshua Wood, his wife Amberly, and great-niece Kinsley). To honor his life, a service will be held at Bethel World Outreach Church, 5670 Granny White Pike, Brentwood, TN 37027, on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service. Another service will be held at First Baptist North Spartanburg, 8740 Asheville Hwy, Spartanburg, SC 29316, on Saturday, October 7, 2017, at 1:00 p.m., with a visitation one hour prior to the service. A graveside service will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
