Charles Franklin "Goose" Giles, 65, of 2151 Glennwood Hills Drive, died Tuesday, November 24, 2009, at his home. Born February 5, 1944, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of Melissa Williams Giles of Spartanburg and the late Foncie Clifton Giles. He was a retired training instructor with KOSA, a member of Converse Baptist Church, and a U.S. Navy Veteran. Surviving in addition to his mother is his wife, Teresa Ann Sullivan Giles; two daughters, Kelly Giles Lawrence and her husband Jeremy, and Alisha Giles Burns and her husband Darrell, a brother, Larry W. Giles, a sister, Leslie G. Hughes, and two grandchildren, Wesley Giles and Lydia Jane Lawrence, all of Spartanburg. He was predeceased by a brother, Bobby F. Giles. Visitation will be 1:00-2:45 p.m. Wednesday, November 25, 2009, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel conducted by the Rev. Daniel Godfrey and the Rev. Keith Stephens. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Gerald Johnson, John Humphries, Mitch Randolph, Charlie Edwards, Wayne Giles, Brian Giles, and Obie Price.
