Charles Garrett, Jr.

Charles E. Garrett, Jr., 64, of Spartanburg, died Friday, December 25, 2009, at Palmetto Richland Hospital, Columbia, SC. Born April 25, 1945, he was the son of Sallie Brannon Garrett Kanipe of Spartanburg and the late Charles Ervin Garrett, Sr. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy and of the Southern Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife, Eva Delores Jeffrey Garrett; four sons, Charles Shannon Garrett and his wife Stephanie of Spartanburg, Timothy Martin Garrett Hardison and his wife Donna of Williamston, NC, Christopher Shawn Garrett Hardison and his wife Elisha of Williamston, NC, and Patrick Randall Garrett of Raleigh, NC; a daughter, Amber Elizabeth Garrett Bradley and her husband Andrew of Comer, GA; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his step-father, Ralph O. Kanipe. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2009, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel.
