Charles Ellison

Charles Roy Ellison, 93, of Pacolet Mills, SC passed away on Sunday, June 20, 2021 at Ashlan Village, Lyman, SC. He was born in Pacolet, SC on October 17, 1927 to Howard Ellison and Adell Gibson Ellison where he grew up with his five siblings.

A U. S. Navy Veteran of World War II, Roy returned to his hometown to work at Milliken from 1959 until 2003 when he retired. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pacolet.

Roy is survived by his former wife, Mae Oleene Ellison of Pacolet, SC; daughter, Lisa Ellison of Pacolet, SC; son-in-law, Steven Parker of Spartanburg, SC; granddaughter, Stephanie Parker Breitenbach (Heath), and two great-grandsons, Parker and Curtis Breitenbach all of Pacolet, SC. He was predeceased by a son, Michael Ellison and a daughter, Jacqulyn Parker.

The burial will be a private service. The family will hold a celebration of life ceremony in his memory at a later date.
