Charles Bell

Charles Henry "Ding Dong" Bell, 73, of 11 Beech Street, died Tuesday, December 8, 2009, at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born December 17, 1935, in the Whitney community, he was the son of Estelle Green Bell of Spartanburg and the late Arthur Andy Bell. He was the owner of Bell Pest Control and a member of Gravely Memorial United Methodist Church. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, an avid golfer, and a NASCAR enthusiast. Surviving in addition to his mother is his loving and devoted wife of 52 years, Edna Fowler Bell; a daughter, Vickie B. Jones and husband James of Boiling Springs; two sons, Stephen C. Bell and wife Donna, and Stanley W. Bell and wife Brenda, all of Inman; three grandchildren, Stephanie Daniels and husband Aaron, Eric Bell and wife Diana, and Andrew Jones; two step-grandsons, Kevin and David Wagner; a great-granddaughter, Juliana Bell; a step-great-granddaughter, Kristen Wagner; and a brother, Michael L. Bell and wife Sheila of Campobello. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 9, 2009, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 10, 2009, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel conducted by the Rev. Joe Moseley. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303. The family is at the home, 11 Beech Street (Whitney community), Spartanburg. The family would like to thank the staff of Spartanburg Regional Hospice for their loving support and care.
