Cecil Luther Jackson, 74, of Campobello, SC, died Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at Emory St. Joseph's Hospital, Atlanta, GA. Born April 3, 1940, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Noah and Geneva Kimbrell Jackson. Mr. Jackson loved his grandchildren and enjoyed bowling. He was a founding member of North Spartanburg Free Will Baptist Church as well as a deacon. He was employed with Spartanburg Chrysler/Plymouth for 46 years as a certified automotive technician (ASE). Surviving is his beloved wife of 56 years, Martha Sigmon Jackson; daughter, Cecilia Jackson Christy (John) of Atlanta, GA; son, Timothy Mark Jackson (Nancy) of Greer, SC; grandchildren, Jamie Christy and Katie Christy of Atlanta, GA; Jessica Conner (Nick) of Greenville, SC, and Jon Forrester of Inman, SC; great-grandchildren, Cashton Conner and Millie Conner, both of Greenville, SC; brother, Harold Jackson of Boiling Springs, SC; and sister, Gail Nelmes of Spartanburg, SC. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday, July 10, 2014, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307, by the Rev. Ed Bryant.
