Milton S. "Cecil" Hudgins, 83, of Spartanburg, died Friday, June 5, 2009, at Mary Black Memorial Hospital. Born February 14, 1926, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Rome S. and Lillie Blackwell Hudgins. He was first married to the late Emily Mabry Hudgins He was retired from Stove Woodward, a Division of BTB, and was a route driver for Sealtest Dairies. He was a member of Harvest Baptist Church and a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Frances Estille Smith Cook Hudgins; a son, Keith Hudgins and his wife Martha of Chesnee; a step-daughter, Brenda Goodlett of Lyman; a brother, Charles Hudgins of Brevard, NC; three grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Donnie Hudgins; a daughter, Judy Hudgins; a step-son, Gerald Cook, Jr.; and a brother, Robert Hudgins of Spartanburg. Visitation will be 2:00-2:45 p.m. Sunday, June 7, 2009, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel conducted by the Rev. Terry McMillian. Burial will be in Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Cancer Centers of the Carolinas, 120 Dillon Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29307. The family is at the home.
