Cecelia Riddle Bridges, 48, of Spartanburg, died Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born October 4, 1963, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of Cecelia McClure Riddle of Spartanburg and the late Paul Wilson Riddle. Mrs. Bridges was former secretary for the Spartanburg Baptist Association, former church secretary for Montgomery Memorial United Methodist Church, and was currently employed with Summit Hills Retirement Community. She was an avid gardener and reader, and a member of First Baptist Church of Cowpens. Survivors include her husband, Edwin Kerry Bridges; a daughter, Paxton Faith Bridges of the home; maternal grandmother, Sarah Emily McClure of Spartanburg; an uncle, Terry Addington of Shelby, NC; and three cousins. She was predeceased by her maternal grandfather, Clyde McClure. Visitation will be 12:30-1:45 PM Saturday, April 7, 2012 at First Baptist Church of Cowpens. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM, at the church, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Bill Westafer. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
