Cathy Bennett

Catherine "Cathy" Clemmons Bennett, 55, of Spartanburg, SC, passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2017, at her home. Born August 29, 1961, in Fayetteville, NC, she was the daughter of Vernon Hall Clemmons of La Grange, NC and the late Mary Margaret Harrelson Clemmons. Cathy loved going to the lake, fishing, playing piano, and any church activity. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Roebuck, SC, and employed with Sheffield Scientific. In addition to her father, survivors include her husband of 28 years, Charles W. Bennett; daughter, Jessica Bennett of Charleston, SC; son, Chase Bennett (Sarabeth) of Spartanburg, SC; and one grandchild "on the way"; sisters, Esther Lynn Hemphill (Jon) of Destin, FL and Donna Howard (Michael) of Mt. Olive, NC; and two nieces. Visitation will be 2:00-2:45 PM Saturday, May 13, 2017, at Floyd's Pacolet Chapel, 141 Memorial Dr., Pacolet, SC 29372. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM, at the Chapel, conducted by Pastor Frankie Taylor. Burial will be in Pacolet Memorial Gardens.
