Catherine Phillips

Catherine Virginia Sellars Phillips, 90, of Greenville and formerly of Spartanburg, SC, died Saturday, November 11, 2017, at her home. Born March 30, 1927, in Cowpens, SC, she was the daughter of the late Dudley Albert Sellars and Martha Olema Daniel Sellars and widow of Rosco Walter Phillips. Mrs. Phillips loved cooking and family time. She retired from Southern Bell Telephone after 35 years of service and was a member of the Pioneers. She was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include her son, Phil E. Phillips (Kathy) of Greenville, SC; grandchildren, Wes Phillips, Matt Phillips, and Melissa Phillips; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Sara Frazier of Arizona, Jeanette Allison and Judy Sutton, both of Pacolet, SC. Visitation will be 12:30-1:30 PM Thursday, November 16, 2017, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307 with funeral services following at 2:00 PM, conducted by the Rev. Keith Taylor. Entombment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Heritage Chapel Mausoleum, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
