Catherine Fowler

Catherine Walker Fowler, 89, of Spartanburg, SC died Saturday, December 12, 2020 at White Oak Estates. Born February 9, 1931 in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Roy Robert and Clara Turner Walker and was the widow of George A. Fowler. Catherine was a member of First Wesleyan Church where she taught Sunday School for over 50 years. She loved gardening, working in her yard, and cooking for her family. Survivors include her sons, Danny Fowler (Terrie) of Spartanburg, SC, Larry Fowler (Kathy) of Spartanburg, SC, Johnny Fowler of Spartanburg, SC, and Michael T. Fowler of Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren, Larry Fowler, Mandy Ballenger, Jonathan Fowler, Weston Fowler, and Jordan Fowler; great grandchildren, Nicholas Fowler, Jessica Fowler, and Mia Ballenger; two great-great grandchildren, Corbin Fowler and Avanlee Fowler; and sisters, Frances Corley, Shirley Davis, and Mary Watts. She was also predeceased by a son, David George Fowler, brothers, Robert Walker and Samuel Walker, and sister, Louise Cooke. Graveside service will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, December 15, 2020 in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by The Rev. Gary Long.
