Carroll Grady Gosnell, 83, of Campobello, SC, died Wednesday, December 7, 2016, at Mountain Valley Hospice House, Dobson, NC. Born September 14, 1933, in Campobello, SC, he was the son of the late Clarence Grady and Ellen Reid Gosnell and husband of the late Betty Jean Kirby Gosnell. A U. S. Army and Reserve Guard veteran, Mr. Gosnell was a graduate of Spartanburg Junior College and the University of South Carolina. He enjoyed playing golf, was a member of Campobello First Baptist Church, and retired from Johnson, Price, Sprinkle, PA, CPA. Survivors include his sons, James P. Gosnell of Inman, SC and Thomas G. Gosnell of Pilot Mountain, NC; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by sisters, Clarice Poteat and Lou Ellen Southers. Visitation will be 11:00 AM - 12:00 noon Saturday, December 10, 2016, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will follow at 12:30 PM, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Michael P. Bragg and the Rev. Thomas G. Gosnell. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
