Carroll Anthony "Tony" Tinsley, "Brother Bones", 55, of 929 Whitlock Street, Spartanburg, died Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born August 11, 1955, in Spartanburg, he was the son of the late Pat and Evelyn Williams Steeley. Tony was beloved by his numerous friends and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include a son, Mark Tinsley (Amanda) of Woodruff; two daughters, Tanya Tinsley of Boiling Springs and Wendy Massey Tinsley of Una; grandchildren, Dustin and Alex Hicks, Zoe, Gavin and Raider Tinsley, Aaron Becca, and David Massey; a sister, Fredia Arrington (Richard) of Woodruff; a brother, Tommy Tinsley (Suzanne) of Spartanburg; nieces, Lori Blanton, Karen Tinsley, and Erin Tinsley; nephews, Jason Arrington (Shannon) and Alan Tinsley (Britni); great-nieces, Nikki Newman, Brianna Williams, Courtney, Marie, and Macayla Godfrey, Aly Tinsley, and Madisyn Cobb; great-nephews, Bailey Stiles, Kase-Alan Tinsley, T.J. Tinsley, and Brandon Williams; great-great-nieces, Lauryn Conway and Chloe Caldwell; and great-great-nephews, Aiden Ballard and Jayden Alvarez. Visitation will be 1:30-2:45 PM Friday, June 10, 2011, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM, in the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Leonard Brown and the Rev. Chuck Thornton. Burial will be private. The family is at the home of Suzanne & Tommy Tinsley, 925 Whitlock Street, Spartanburg, SC.
