Carrol Painter

Carrol Louis “Bo” Painter, 72, of Spartanburg, SC, died Monday, January 2, 2023 at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born March 16, 1950 in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Marion Robert and Edith Bonita DuBose Painter.

Mr. Painter was retired in 2000. He was a member of the Salvation Army.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia Painter of the home; sons, Mark Wesley Dicks (Felisha) and Christopher Matthew Dicks (Leah), both of Tampa, FL, and Marion James Bo Painter (Ansley) of Spartanburg, SC; six grandchildren, Kimberlynn Dicks, Scott Dicks, Fiona Dicks, Farrah Dicks, Emmalynn Painter and Samuel Painter; siblings, Kaye Hanson (Marvin) of Texas, Kathy Morgan (Norman) of Moore, SC, and Marion Joel Painter (Libby Taylor) of Spartanburg, SC. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Robert E. “Bobby” Painter, Ted Arthur Painter, and Thomas Stephen “Buck” Painter.

Services will be held at a later time.
