Carolyn Williams

Carolyn Christine Fulkert Williams, 84, of Spartanburg, SC, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 24, 2017, at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills-Landrum following a brief illness. Born December 22, 1932, in Elmore, OH, she was the daughter of the late Celestia Crozier and Harry Fulkert and wife of the late Darrell E. Williams. Mrs. Williams was employed by Woodland Heights Elementary School where she served as a cafeteria worker to the school's many children. She was a member of United Methodist Church of the Covenant in Spartanburg. Her hobbies included cross stitching, cooking for family and others, as well as collecting frogs and angels. Survivors include her three sons, Charles Williams, Tom Williams and future daughter-in-law Pam Gray, all of Spartanburg, SC, and Brian Williams and daughter-in-law Tanya of Inman, SC; grandchildren, Christina "Nikki" Blackmon and Chris Blackmon of Elizabeth City, NC; and three great-grandchildren, Christy Baumgardner of Spartanburg, SC and Joshua Brian Williams and Christopher Blackmon, both of Elizabeth City, NC. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a grandson, Joshua David Williams; and daughter-in-law, Catherine Macek Williams. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Thursday, September 28, 2017, at United Methodist Church of the Covenant, by the Rev. Heather Humphries. Visitation will follow the service at the church until 5:00 PM. Interment will be in Harris-Elmore Union Cemetery in Elmore, OH. A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 PM Monday, October 2, 2017, in Harris-Elmore Union Cemetery, Elmore, OH with visitation following the service. Crosser Funeral Homes will handle the arrangements. Memorials may be made to United Methodist Church of the Covenant Handbell Fund, 9020 Asheville Hwy, Spartanburg, SC 29316.
