Carolyn Elizabeth Heriot McCall, 88, widow of Lemuel Allsobrook McCall, died Thursday, May 6, 2010. Born March 29, 1922, in Bishopville, SC, she was the daughter of the late James Kirkpatrick Heriot and Annie Righton Richards Heriot. Mrs. McCall was a graduate of Winthrop College. She taught school for several years in Florence, SC, before marrying Lemuel Allsobrook McCall (Brooks) on April 22, 1949. While in Florence, she was active in her Book Clubs, Garden Clubs, D.A.R., Colonial Dames of America, and First Presbyterian Church where she was involved in Circle and a Girl Scout Leader. She was a Nationally Accredited Flower Show Judge. After the death of her husband, she moved to Spartanburg, SC, where she was active in her Book Clubs, Garden Clubs, Colonial Dames of America, and the First Presbyterian Church. Surviving are her daughters, Ann Richards McCall Crenshaw and husband Dick of Spartanburg, SC, Elizabeth (Betsy) Allsobrook McCall Ivens of Fork Union, VA, and Susan Heriot McCall Britt and husband David of Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Brooks McCall Crenshaw and wife Carolyn and their sons James Wingfield Crenshaw and Charles McCall Crenshaw of Spartanburg, SC, Carolyn (Callie) Crenshaw Hammet and husband Rob and their daughter Mary English Hammet of Spartanburg, SC, Reade French Marchette and wife Mandi and their son Tierman Chase Ivens Marchette of Charlottesville, VA, Ida Elizabeth Allsobrook Ivens and Annie Righton Richards Ivens of Fork Union, VA, Elizabeth (Betsy) Ann Britt of Columbia, SC, and Marshall McCall Britt of Charleston, SC; and two nieces, Jane Burgess Richardson, and Jo Burgess Eves and husband John. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Suzanne Heriot Burgess. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 15, 2010, in the Mount Hope Memorial Cemetery, 100 Cherokee Road, Florence., SC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Liberty Hill Presbyterian Cemetery Fund, P. O. Box 170, Liberty Hill, SC 29074; to Mobile Meals Service, P. O.
