Carolyn Horne

Carolyn Dinning Horne, 71, of Spartanburg, SC, died Friday, February 12, 2010, at her home. Born March 15, 1938, in Ashdown, AR, she was the daughter of the late Leonard Bates Dinning, Sr. and Mattie Hough Lilly Dinning and the wife of the late Furman Horne. She attended Ashdown public schools. Mrs. Horne had been a resident of Spartanburg, SC, since the 1960's when she came to live with her sister, Laverne. Survivors include a brother, Paul Edwin Dinning and his family of Avery, TX; several nieces and nephews; and numerous cousins of her Mother's Lilly family, including Dorothy Falkner Chamblee of Atlanta, TX, Wayne and Nancy Falkner of Mena, AR, and Florence Casey Milligan and family of Queen City, TX. She was predeceased by a brother, Leonard Bates "Sonny" Dinning, Jr.; and a sister, Helen Laverne Dinning George. Burial was in Good Shepherd Memorial Park in Boiling Springs, SC. The J. F.
