Carolyn Hooper

Carolyn Sue Scartz Hooper, 71, of 109 Sherbert Court, died Friday, June 26, 2009, at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born June 1, 1938, in Clarksburg, WV, she was the daughter of the late Harold Scartz and Clara Margaret Miller. She was a member of Liberty United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, James Edward Hooper; two daughters, Debbie Hooper Gaskins of Spartanburg, and Brenda Hooper Bartlett of Inman; two sons, Jimmy Hooper of Spartanburg, and David Hooper and his wife Kelly of Chesnee; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 7:00-9:00 p.m. Sunday, June 28, 2009, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, June 29, 2009, at Davis Memorial Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Charles Hall and the Rev. Keith Swiger. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303. The family is at the home.
