Carolyn Ann Cudd

Carolyn Ann Cudd, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, in Spartanburg, SC at the age of 78. Born on May 27, 1946, in Cowpens, SC, she was the daughter of the late Talmadge Barnett and Pansy Lounette Wade Barnett.

Ann was known as the previous owner and operator of Cherry Hill Mart on the east side of Spartanburg. She also ran Ann's Cleaning Service, a testament to her strong work ethic and "go-getter" attitude, as she consistently sought out opportunities and performed them with integrity.

Characterized by a bubbly personality, she also had the ability to speak her mind in a minute. Her favorite pastime was gardening, where she enjoyed nature and seeing the outcome of her hard work.

Ann is survived by her loving family, including her son, Robert "Bob" Cudd of Tennessee, and her daughter, Chris Cudd of Spartanburg, South Carolina; granddaughter, Jade Bennett, (Tyler); sister, Barbara Hames of Spartanburg, as well as nieces Melissa Mitchell and Angie Brown. In addition to her family, Ann had a special bond with her best friend, Pamela Satterfield, who stood by her side through many of life's adventures.

She was predeceased by her parents, her brother Robert Barnett, and a stepsister, Betty Lee, all of whom she held dear.

A visitation will be held from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM, Saturday, April 19, 2025, followed by a graveside service at 12:00 PM, in Daniel Morgan Memorial Gardens, 175 Cemetery St., Cowpens, South Carolina 29330. Services will be conducted by The Rev. Jason Metcalf and music, by Aron Wofford.

Carolyn Ann Cudd's legacy will live on through the lives she touched and through the love she so freely gave to those around her.
