Carolyn Wallace Miller Coggins, 71, of Boiling Springs, went home to be with her Lord surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, April 21, 2010, at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born December 15, 1938, in Gaffney, SC, she was the daughter of the late David Daniel and Maggie Louise Coyle Wallace. A graduate of Limestone College, she was a teacher for 14 years. She was a member of Cudd Memorial Baptist Church where she taught the Love Sunday School Class. Survivors include her husband of 24 years, Charles Edward Coggins; a daughter, Betsy Miller Kidd and husband Thomas of Spartanburg; a son, Christopher David Miller of Spartanburg; a sister, Linda Kimbrell and husband Dennis of Chesnee; a granddaughter, Kaylan Sydney McFalls of Spartanburg; a niece, Tiffany Lynn Kimbrell of Colorado; and a nephew, David Leon Kimbrell of Chesnee. Visitation will be 9:30-10:45 a.m. Friday, April 23, 2010, at Cudd Memorial Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Church conducted by the Rev. Ronnie Norris and the Rev. Danny Garrett. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
