Caroline Camp

Caroline Evans Camp, 97, of Spartanburg, SC, died Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born April 27, 1919, in Roanoke, VA, she was the daughter of the late E. J. Evans and Lenora Oakman Evans and widow of Woodrow W. Camp, Sr. She was a lifelong member of Southside Baptist Church. Survivors include her children, Nancy Marley (Bill) of Spartanburg, SC, Wilson Camp (Barbara) of Boiling Springs, SC, Jerry Camp (Pam) of Cowpens, SC, Joyce Lee (Calbert) of Taylors, SC, and Emily Mathews (Ed) of Tavares, FL; 12 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Erman Evans (Betty) of Cornelius, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by bothers, Jack Evans and William J. Evans; and sister, Jean Evans Pruitt. Visitation will be 10:00-10:45 AM Friday, March 31, 2017, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Bill Westafer. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
