Caroleen Elizabeth Morris Blackwood Brannon, 80, of Boiling Springs, died Thursday, July 28, 2011, at her home. Born August 4, 1930, in Gaffney, she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Illa May Tindall Morris, and beloved wife of the late Perry Herbert Brannon. She was raised as a daughter by her Uncle and Aunt, Fred and Lillian Blackwood. Mrs. Brannon was co-owner with her husband of Brannon Landscaping. She was a member of Whitney Free Will Baptist Church. She loved Christian music, gardening, traveling, and going out to eat with family, especially her grandchildren. Survivors include her sons, Michael (Elwanda) Brannon of Spartanburg, and Mark (Darlene) Brannon of Boiling Springs; daughters, Karen and Denise Brannon of Greenville; 18 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Katherine Dellinger of Kings Mountain, NC; and caregiver and granddaughter, Kathy Brannon Wilkie. Visitation will be 10:00-11:15 AM Saturday, July 30, 2011 at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 11:30 AM, in the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. James Childers. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriner's Hospital for Children, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
