Carole Brown

Carole Chapman Brown, 73, passed away on Friday, January 7, 2022. Carole was born in Spartanburg, SC in 1948 to the late Floyd L. Chapman and Clara Margaret. Carole recently retired from Law Insurance Agency in Spartanburg where she worked in administration for more than 20 years.

Carole was a beloved mother, nanny and sister. She adored her family. She selflessly cared for her older sister, Judy for the last 15 years. She wrote beautiful poetry in her free time and was a wonderful baker. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her three daughters, Tammy Howle (Chad) of Florence, SC, Patti Brown of Winnsboro, SC, and Suzie Baughman (Joseph) of Lexington, SC. Along with her daughters, she is also survived by six grandchildren, Kandyce Muse, Asheley Schwartz (Matt), Eden Hunt (Carsten), Ryan Davis (Caitlin), Corey Davis (Emily) and Chason Howle, five great grandchildren and two sisters, Judy Howell and Lynda Lowe. In addition to her parents, she was also  predeceased by two grandchildren, Victoria Cherie Kelly and Payton Conner Brown.

Graveside service will be at 12:30 PM Tuesday, January 11, 2022 in Sunset Memorial Park, 1955 Cannons Campground Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by The Rev. Brad Gray. Visitation will follow after the graveside service.
