Carmie Fisher

Carmie Gregg Fisher, 80, of Spartanburg, died Sunday, October 9, 2011, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born December 23, 1930, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Dewey and Rena Elizabeth Hicks Gregg, and wife of the late Carrol James Fisher. She was a founding member of St. Luke United Methodist Church and an avid golfer. Survivors include her daughters, Jane Fisher Smith and husband Bo, Wanda F. McArthur and husband Steve, and Cheryl F. Cole and husband Michael, all of Spartanburg; five grandchildren, Chip, Scott, Cody, Katie, and Gina; three great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Faye Ledford. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, October 11, 2011, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Jerry Ford. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 901 South Pine Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
