Carmen Najim, a spirited soul, left this world unexpectedly on October 23, 2024, at the age of 67. Born on September 15, 1957, in Monroe, North Carolina to Fred Mitchel Najim and the late, Norma Jean Brewer Parker.
Carmen dedicated several years to her antique store, Buddermilk Antiques in Cowpens, where she created not only a collection of cherished items but a gathering place for stories, laughter, and a sense of community.
Traveling was another of Carmen's loves, as she often sought new experiences using them to inspire her. Carmen had a passion for her family's horses; she cherished every moment spent riding and caring for them, finding peace and fulfillment in their companionship.
Carmen is survived by daughter, Cory Kennedy of Charleston, SC, and son, Matthew Lambert of Charleston, SC. She leaves behind a loving father, Fred Najim of Taylors, SC, and a supportive sister, Katheryn Starnes (Steve) of Pauline, SC. Her grandchildren, Kaleb Phelps (Becka) of Spartanburg, Abrum Phelps of Charleston, and Jessie Ann Phelps of Charleston, who will always remember the light she brought into their lives. A loyal companion for 20 years, her dog, Monkey.
The family will receive friends from, 12:00 pm - 12:45 pm, Thursday, October 31, 2024, Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
Funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM, Thursday, October 31, 2024, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel followed by the Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Services will be officiated by the Rev. Kent Smith.

Carmen will be remembered for her infectious laughter, her quick wit, and her unwavering belief in the beauty of life.
