Carlton Leoland Easler, 80, of Pacolet, died Tuesday, August 16, 2011, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born May 22, 1931, in Spartanburg, he was the son of the late General Gordon and Hazel Loree Barnett Easler. Mr. Easler was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force. He was a member of Brown Chapel Baptist Church of Pacolet Mills, a member of Glendale Masonic Lodge, and a former employee of Spartanburg District 7 Schools. Survivors include his loving wife, Ruth Corrina Snapp Easler of the home; sisters, Ruth Lowe of Greenwood and Esther Turner of Spartanburg; a stepdaughter, Linda Ramsey (Ron) of Pacolet; stepsons, Keith Henderson (Kathy) of Pacolet, Michael Osmet (Letha) of Spartanburg, and Jessie Black of Spartanburg; a sister-in-law, Theresa Easler of Gaffney; five step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Elliott Easler. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, August 19, 2011, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, by the Rev. Roye Lynn Kulik.
