Carl Mack

Carl Anthony Mack, 36, of Spartanburg, SC, died Friday, October 20, 2017 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born June 2, 1981 in Opelika, AL, he was the son of Michael and Mary Mack of Chatham, IL and Julie and Jeff Lester Whitley of Port St. Lucie, FL. Mr. Mack was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Iraq. Since returning home, he has been employed with the Spartanburg County Sherriff's Office Detention Center. He attended Cedar Spring Baptist Church. Along with his parents, he is also survived by his loving wife, Jessica LouAnn Brock Mack of the home; stepdaughters, Haley, Lacey, and Lily Stoner; brother, Michael Mack, Jr. of Port St. Lucie, FL; sisters, Marissa Mack and Maddie Mack, both of Chatham, IL; niece, Haven Mack of Port St. Lucie, FL; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dean and Donna Walden of Spartanburg, SC; sister-in-law, Neely Brame of Spartanburg, SC; nieces Carlie and Stella of Spartanburg, SC. Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 PM Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at the chapel, conducted by the Rev. Todd Lowe. Burial with honors by the Spartanburg County Sherriff's Department Honors Team will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
