Carl Eggleton

Carl Edwin Eggleton, 83, of 151 Revere Circle, died Friday, October 8, 2010 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born September 4, 1927 in St. Albans, WV, he was the son of the late Basil Carl and Minnie Pullen Eggleton. He was first married to Patricia Eggleton. He was a retired chemist with Siemans after thirty years of service. He attended Morningside Baptist Church, was a member of the Spartanburg Optimist Club and was a U. S. Navy veteran. In addition to his wife, Edna Sherbert Charity Eggleton, he is survived by two step sons, Steven Anthony Wood and David Michael Wood both of Spartanburg; a sister, Roma Eggleton Scherer of Akron, OH; and seven step grandchildren. Visitation will be 1:15-2:00 PM Sunday, October 10, 2010 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Complex. Cryptside services with military rites by the SC State Guard Honors Team will follow in the Mausoleum Complex, conducted by the Rev. Mike McGee and the Rev. Sal Barone.
