Carl Max Blalock

Carl Max Blalock, 93, of Spartanburg, South Carolina passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2025.

Carl was born in Sylacauga, Alabama, the son of the late Harvey Blalock and the late Delphie Gay Blalock. He was also preceded in death by the love of his life: Emmeline Knodler Blalock; a son Richard “Rick” Lee Blalock.

Carl was a retired installer in the textile industry. He also served his country with honor in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Left to cherish his memories are his Grandsons: Daniel Blalock (Rebecca) and Nathan Blalock; a granddaughter: Cristy Jackson (Cale); five great grandchildren: Issac Blalock, Bella Blalock, Killian Blalock, Maggie Blalock, and Lane Jackson.

The family will greet friends between 1:00 – 1:45 PM on Monday, April 21, 2025, at Floyd Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main St, Spartanburg, SC 29307. A graveside service will follow the visitation at 2:00 PM in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens with Military Honors.

Carl’s memories will be treasured for years to come by his family and friends.
