Camille Toney

Camille Satterfield Toney, of 641 Greenhill Road, died Sunday, September 20, 2009, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. A native of Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late James Paul and Margaret Pennington Satterfield. A 1945 graduate of Spartanburg High School, she was a doctor's assistant with Dr. Phifer and later a private duty nurse. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Spartanburg, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and a church and community volunteer. Survivors include her husband of 63 years, C. J. Toney, Jr.; a daughter, Claudia P. Toney, and a son, Terry L. Toney, both of Spartanburg; and five grandchildren, Kylee, Kathryn, Caroline, and Landon Toney, and Brayden Watkins. Visitation will be 1:00-1:45 p.m. Wednesday, September 23, 2009, in the Church Parlor of the First Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in Davis Chapel at the Church conducted by the Rev. Sal Barone and the Rev. Bill Adams. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, 250 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29306. The family is at the home.
