Calvin Michael Thompson, 67, of Roebuck, died Monday, May 23, 2011 at his home. Born August 12, 1943, in Greenville, SC, he was the son of the late Calvin Maxwell and Nell Wood Thompson and husband of Ann Oliver Thompson. Calvin was a veteran of the U. S. Army, a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, and retired from Pitney Bowes after 32 years of service. He was a past Master of Roebuck Masonic Lodge #357, a Red Cross Volunteer, and a member of the Spartanburg Amateur Radio Club. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Michelle Thompson McKelvey, also of the home; a brother, Donald B. Thompson (Donna) of Gray Court; six sister-in-laws; four brother-in-laws; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 7:00-9:00 PM Tuesday, May 24, 2011, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services, with Masonic Rites, will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Ken Kirkley. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
