Calvin Teal

Calvin Billy Teal, 69, of Spartanburg, died Thursday, February 28, 2013, at Magnolia Manor-Spartanburg. Born December 13, 1943, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Wofford Floyd Teal and Susie Jane Blanton Teal. Mr. Teal was a diesel mechanic at Metromont Materials and was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are his children, Cindy Teal Hodge of Clifton, Susan Hoffmann and Scott Teal, both of Drayton, Debra McIntyre of Cowpens, Lynn West of Spartanburg, and Dalton Foster of Asheville, NC; grandson, Brett Johnson of the home; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Brenda Sanders of Converse, Betty Staton and Ruth Branch, both of Cowpens. He was predeceased by a daughter, Angela Teal; three brothers; and two sisters. Visitation will be 2:00-3:30 PM Sunday, March 3, 2013, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E Main St, Spartanburg, SC 29307. A graveside service will follow at 4:00 PM in Cowpens Cemetery.
