Calvin Martin

Calvin "Coot" Coolidge Martin, 83, of Spartanburg, died Sunday, April 24, 2011 at his home. Born July 13, 1927, in Blacksburg, he was the son of the late Mack and Isabel Martin and husband of the late Dorothy Garrett Martin. Mr. Martin was a veteran of the U. S. Army and Marines. He was of the Baptist faith and retired from Mayfair Mills after 38 years. Survivors include a son, William M. Martin of Boiling Springs; a daughter, Linda Martin Mashburn of Cross Hill; four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and a sister, Myron Ingram of Charlotte, NC. He was predeceased by two sons, Ronnie A. and Wayne D. Martin. Visitation will be 2:00-2:45 PM Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM in the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. David Carter. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family is at their respective homes.
