Calvin Dill

Calvin H. Dill, 84, of Spartanburg, SC, died Thursday, July 4, 2013, at Eden Terrace. Born April 10, 1929, in Union, SC, he was the son of the late William Seymour and Corrie Bell French Dill. A U. S. Navy veteran of World War II, Mr. Dill was retired from Bell South, a member of Pioneers of America, and also a member of Roebuck Baptist Church. Survivors include his beloved wife of 62 years, Helen Lucille Nelson Dill; daughter, Belinda Jolley (Steve) of Chester, SC; sons, Bobby Dill (Janet) of Lexington, SC, Nelson Dill (Sonya) of Jefferson, GA, and Philip Dill (Glenda) of Spartanburg, SC; 5 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Sunday, July 7, 2013, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 AM Monday, July 8, 2013, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, by the Rev. Dr. Tim Williams. Entombment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Complex. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Roebuck Baptist Church, PO Box 490, Roebuck, SC 29376. The family is at their respective homes.
