Constantinos Peter "Deno" Georgeopoulos, 87, of Spartanburg, SC, died Monday September 7, 2015, at his home. Born November 17, 1927, in Arachova, Greece, he was the son of the late Peter Georgeopoulos and Vasilaki Athanaelos. A member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, Mr. Georgeopoulos retired from Crown Cork and Seal after 20 years of service. He was the former owner of Light House Restaurant, Dixie Fish Camp, and the Sun & Sand Motel Restaurant. He also served in the Greek Army. Surviving are his beloved wife of 55 years, Persa Batalis Georgeopoulos; son, Pete Georgeopoulos (Cassandra) of Scottsdale, AZ; daughter, Vicki G. Stanford (Gary) of Spartanburg, SC; five grandchildren, Dimitri and Nicholas Georgeopoulos and Dustin (Dana), George and CJ Stanford; sisters, Yanoula Poulokefalos and Panagiota Karygianni, both of Arachova, Greece; and a number of nieces and nephews. Visitation with the Trisagion Prayer Service will be 10:30-11:45 AM Thursday, September 10, 2015, at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 697 Asheville Hwy, Spartanburg, SC 29303. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 noon, at the church, conducted by the Rev. George F. Nayfa. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
