Budd B. Arthur, 75, of 110 Fitzgerald Road, died Monday, September 20, 2010, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born September 12, 1935 in Spartanburg, he was the son of the late William Estes and Pearl Easler Arthur. He retired from Norfolk Southern Railway after eighteen years of service and was a member of Cannon's Campground United Methodist Church where he was a member of the Christian Fellowship Sunday School Class. He was a former school board member of Spartanburg District 3 schools for eight years, an inactive member of the Ruritan Club, and a U.S. Army veteran. In addition to his wife, Judy Hendrick Arthur, survivors include two sons, Michael Arthur of Murrells Inlet, SC and Mark Arthur (Cindy) of Cross Anchor, SC; a sister, Creole Henderlight of Greenville, TN; two brothers, Ralph Arthur (Joyce) and Denny Arthur (Kay) all of Spartanburg; two sister-in-laws, Rody Arthur and Josephine Arthur both of Spartanburg; a granddaughter Chana Arthur of Cross Anchor; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Etta Arthur; and three brothers, Paul, Charles, and Fred Arthur. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 23, 2010 at Cannon's Campground United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Douglas Gilliland and the Rev. Dr. James W. Ivey. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Honorary Escort will be the Christian Fellowship Sunday School Class.
