Bryson Humphries, Jr., 87, of Spartanburg, SC died Friday, January 5, 2018 at his home. Born May 1, 1930 in Spartanburg County, SC, he was the son of the late Bryson Humphries, Sr. and Alma Watkins Humphries. He was the widower of Laura Humphries. Bryson was a tie in machine operator at Drayton and Mayfair Mills. He was an avid NASCAR and Clemson fan. Survivors include his children, Sandra Snelgrove (Frank), Susan Walker (Roger), Alma Tuck (Ken), John Humphries, and David Humphries, all of Upstate South Carolina; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was also predeceased by five sisters, and five brothers. He was the last remaining member of his immediate family. Visitation will be 12:30 - 1:45 PM, Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM, conducted by the Rev. David Frost and the Rev. Randell Blackman. Entombment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Complex, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307. The family will be at the home.
