Bryan Lee Hines

“For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is going to be revealed to us.” Romans 8:18 

Bryan Lee Hines, 72, a lifelong resident of Spartanburg, passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2024, at White Oak at North Grove. Bryan was born on July 27, 1952, in Spartanburg, a son of the late Barbara Janette Stacey Hines and James Edward Hines. 

Bryan was a graduate of Spartanburg High School and Spartanburg Technical College. He was retired from Dell Corning. A true Harley Davidson enthusiast, Bryan was an active member of The Shop motorcycle club. 

Bryan is survived by two brothers, Dale E. Hines (Glynda) of Pauline, SC and Danny Hines of Landrum, SC; his nieces and nephews, Staci Hines (Jacob), Brandon Hines (Haley) and Josh Hines (Heather); several great nieces and nephews; and a special cousin, Jo Sosbee. Along with his parents, Bryan was predeceased by a brother, Keith Hines. 

A graveside service will be held 12:00 pm Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by the Rev. Brian Redding. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside. 

Members of The Shop Motorcycle Club will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the staff of White Oak at North Grove for the dedicated care shown to Bryan. Special thanks to CNA Robbie Burnside at White Oak and to Cindy Hodge and Sherry Almond with Spartanburg Regional Hospice. 

The family will be at their respective homes. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
