Bruce Ray Schrimsher

Bruce Ray Schrimsher, 79, of Spartanburg, died Friday, October 4, 2024, at his residence. Bruce was born October 29, 1944, in Spartanburg, a son of the late Samuel Luther and Gertrude Smith Schrimsher. He was a career brick mason.

Bruce is survived by a daughter, Kimberley Renee Varner; 4 grandchildren, Eric Cook, Michelle Resendiz, Ricky Resendiz, and Steven Cook; 14 great-grandchildren, Hayden, Nicholas, Lucas, Hunter, Emmett, Gabriella, Chloe, Bryson, Jaidah, Alec, Jonathan, Robbie, Mason, and Finleigh; and a brother, Wayne “Gene” Schrimsher. Bruce was predeceased by his siblings, Maxine Schrimsher, Ruby McLaughlin, Eva Nichols, Jeanette Waddell, Florence Fleming, Joe Schrimsher and Benny Schrimsher.

A graveside service will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at Fort Prince Memorial Gardens, 126 Fort Prince Road, Wellford, SC 29385, conducted by the Rev. Andy Case.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Valley Falls, 8352 Valley Falls Road, Boiling Springs, SC 29316.
