Kenneth Hayes, 80, of Spartanburg, SC, died Monday, June 9, 2014, at Mary Black Memorial Hospital. Born May 21, 1934, in Spartanburg County, he was the son of the late Burke Bevley Hayes and Pearl Christine Freeman Hayes. A U. S. Army veteran, Mr. Hayes was a member of Powell Presbyterian Church and retired from S & S Manufacturing as a circuit board technician. Surviving is his beloved wife of 51 years, Helen Ruth Chapman Hayes; daughter, Deborah Hayes Williams and husband John C. Williams II of Pacolet, SC; and grandchildren, Tripp Williams and Austin Williams of Pacolet, SC. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday, June 12, 2014, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel, 4161 Hwy 9 N, Boiling Springs, SC 29316, by the Rev. Gary Adkins. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Memorial Gardens, 4081 Hwy 9 N, Boiling Springs, SC 29316. Visitation will follow at the graveside.
