Brian Wood, Sr.

Brian Parker Wood, Sr., 69, of Arcadia, SC, died Thursday, May 3, 2018, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home surrounded by family and friends. Born March 22, 1949, in Providence, RI, he was the son of the late Joseph Parker Wood and Ida Lewiska Wood. A mechanical engineer, Mr. Wood retired from the Savannah River Plant and was of the Catholic faith. Survivors include his wife, Marsha Hall Wood; children, Brian Parker Wood, Jr. and his wife, Rani, of Virginia and Brandy Wood of California; grandchildren, Jessica Wood and Logan Carter; and brothers, Bruce Wood of California and John Wood and his wife, Petra, of West Virginia. He will be missed by his loving pets, Lucy, Max and Cosmo. Visitation will be 1:00-1:45 PM Sunday, May 6, 2018, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307, with funeral services following at 2:00 PM, conducted by The Rev. Kevin Smith. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
