Brian Cronshaw Hacking, 66, of Boiling Springs, SC, died peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Sunday, April 23, 2017, after fighting the good fight and keeping the faith. Born January 23, 1951, in Clayton-le-Moors, England, he was the son of the late Harold and Dorothy Ashworth Hacking. A devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather, Brian was the life and firecracker of the party. He never met a stranger, was a friend to all, and was so proud of his son - for his accomplishments and the fulfillment of his dreams. He was a graduate of the Liverpool College of Technology & Design, retired from INX International in Charlotte, NC, and was of the Episcopalian faith. Survivors include his wife and soulmate of 46 years, Jenny Hacking; son, Jamie A. Hacking and daughter-in-law Rachel of Hickory, NC; and grandchildren, Chloe Hacking and Camden Hacking of Hickory, NC. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, April 29, 2017, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel, 4161 Hwy 9 N, Boiling Springs, SC 29316, by the Rev. Robert L. Brown. A reception celebrating his life will immediately follow at the home.
