Brenda Boyd

Brenda Barrett Boyd, 77, of Duncan, SC, went home on Wednesday, January 24, 2018, at her home. Born July 4, 1940, in Thomaston, GA, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Raymond Barrett and Rosa Lanelle Arnold Walker. Mrs. Boyd loved her family and cherished any time she spent with her grandchildren. She loved meeting with her prayer group and interceding for others. She was a member of Free Chapel. Survivors include her husband of 57 years, James Ira Boyd; sons, Mark Boyd (Sheila) of Inman, SC and Bryan Boyd (Susan) of Braselton, GA; grandchildren, Erica, Rachel, Sarah, Emily, and Jackson; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Tina Daniel. Visitation will be 9:30-10:45 AM Saturday, January 27, 2018, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307 with funeral services following at 11:00 AM, conducted by The Rev. Jentezen Franklin. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
