Braudus Lynn, 88, of Spartanburg, SC died Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born November 9, 1932 in Statesboro, GA, he was the son of the late Dewey and Beulah Lott Lynn. He was the husband of the late Norma Dean Nubern Lynn of almost 68 years whom he loved and missed so much since her passing in 2018.
A U. S. Army Veteran and retired National Guard Veteran, Mr. Lynn was retired from Southern Shops after 27 years as a welder. He was a man of strong character, he loved all, and was devoted to his family and their needs, a devout supporter of the Shriner’s and all their endeavors. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his daughter, Melissa L. Whitesides (Chris) of Lyman, SC; sons, Steven B. Lynn of Spartanburg, SC, Gregory S. Lynn (Nancy) of Inman, SC and Michael Lynn (Debra) of Staton Island, NY; 14 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held 1:00-1:45 PM Sunday, May 9, 2021, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307, with funeral services following at 2:00 PM in the Chapel, conducted by The Rev. Tommy Sparks. Burial with military rites by American Legion Post #28 will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
