Brandon Scott McDaniel, 20, of 1508-B East Blackstock Road, beloved son, brother, and uncle, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 17, 2009. Born July 1, 1988, in Atlanta, GA, he was the son of Nancy Lancaster McDaniel of Spartanburg. A 2006 graduate of Dorman High School where he was a member of the Drum Line from 2002-2006, he was currently a student at North Greenville University where he was a Junior and a member of the "G-Unit". He was a member of Southside Baptist Church and was youth worship leader at First Baptist Church of Gaffney. He recently returned from a mission trip to India. He was a founding member of "MyCalvary", a Contemporary Christian Band. Brandon loved the Lord and had a passion for His ministry. Also surviving is his father, Eric McDaniel of Atlanta, GA; a much loved brother, Tim Holden (Gina) of Wake Forest, NC; a half-brother, Christopher McDaniel of Atlanta, GA; his extended parents, Everett and Mimi Wray of Roebuck; his paternal grandparents, Danny McDaniel (Jean) of Atlanta, GA; three nieces, Gigi, Ellie, and Lydia Holden; two nephews, Greyson and Graham Holden; his special love, Kelly Mimms; and aunts and uncles, Judy Sill (Mike), Mary Lynne Mahaffey (Larry), Edie Streetman (Danny), and Johnny McDaniel (Melanie). He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Jonathan and Julia Johnson Lancaster; and his paternal grandmother, Vivian Ruud. Visitation will be 11:00-1:30 p.m. Friday, March 20, 2009, in the Parlor at Southside Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Church conducted by the Rev. David M. Blanton and the Rev. Dr. Allen McWhite. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
