Brandon Allen Lanford, 19, of Woodruff, SC, passed away Sunday, February 27, 2011. Born April 5, 1991 in Spartanburg, he was the son of Caroline Ogston Roberts and the late Timothy "Tim" Allen Lanford. Brandon graduated in 2009 from Woodruff High School and attended Spartanburg Community College. He was employed as a loader at UPS and awarded "Employee of the Month" last month. As a young boy, Brandon was very active in community sports and as a young man he was always a trusted friend to everyone that knew him. In addition to his mother, Brandon is survived by his step-father, James "Jim" Arthur Roberts; a sister, Emily Caroline Lanford; a brother, Matthew Blake Lanford both of the home; an adopted brother, Joshua "Josh" Allen Lanford of NM; step-brother, James A. Roberts, Jr.; two step-sisters, Rene' Suzanne Roberts Teague and Kristy Roberts Snow of FL. He is also survived by his grandparents, George F. and Cheryl A. Ogston and Horace "Bud" Lanford, Jr. and Marcel Miller Lanford as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 2:00 - 3:30 PM Thursday, March 3, 2011 at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 9480 Hwy. 221, Woodruff. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 PM, conducted by the Rev. Doug Huntsinger. Burial will be in Greenhaven Memorial Gardens, Woodruff. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Brandon Allen Lanford Memorial Fund, P.O. Drawer 1530, Spartanburg, SC 29304. .
