Brandon Burgess

Brandon Gene Burgess, 24, of Pacolet, SC, died Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center after a lifelong illness with a clotting disorder. Born July 11, 1989, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of Felicia Dale Edge Harvey of Whitestone, SC, and the late Gene Burgess. A graduate of Broome High School, Brandon loved rock & roll, football, scary movies, and the beach. He was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his mother, he is survived by the love of his life, Bailey Harvey of Pacolet, SC; three brothers, Clayton Burgess and Randy Burgess, both of Pacolet, SC, and Blane Harvey of Buffalo, SC; stepfather, Randy Harvey of Whitestone, SC; maternal grandmother, Sandra Edge of Pacolet, SC; aunts and uncles, Chip and Melisa Edge of Rutherforton, NC, and Tracy and Joey Hume of Atlanta, GA; niece, Tori Burgess of Pacolet, SC; nephew, Levi Harvey of Buffalo, SC; and step-grandparents, Jim and Erlene Harvey of Pacolet. He is also predeceased by maternal grandfather, Roy Edge; and paternal grandparents, Hazel and Glover Burgess. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday, February 5, 2014, at Floyd's Pacolet Chapel, 141 Memorial Dr., Pacolet, SC 29372. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Thursday, February 6, 2014, at Floyd's Pacolet Chapel, by the Rev. Jerry Ford. Burial will be in Pacolet Memorial Gardens.
