Brac Turnipseed

Brac Hylton Turnipseed, 37, of Roebuck, SC, beloved daddy and husband, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 24, 2015. Born January 13, 1978, in Spartanburg, Brac was the third son of David E. and Cynthia Garber Turnipseed of Spartanburg, SC. An avid outdoorsman, Brac loved to be on the water fishing or hunting on his family's property. Teaching the next generation of hunters and fishermen also gave Brac great pleasure. However, nothing made him happier than spending time with his daughter, Eloise Cayman Turnipseed and his wife, Karlen Senn. Brac will be remembered as an adoring husband, father, son, brother, and friend, with a quick wit and boisterous sense of humor. Brac was a 1996 graduate of Dorman High School. After graduating from the College of Charleston in 2001, Brac worked as a mortgage broker at Mortgage Research Corporation. He attended the Charleston School of Law, where he graduated with honors in 2007. After returning to Spartanburg, Brac practiced law with his father, David, at the Turnipseed Law Firm. In addition to his parents, Brac is survived by his loving wife, Karlen, and his daughter, Eloise; brothers, David E. Turnipseed Jr. (Selena) of Woodruff, SC, and Lee Turnipseed (Brandi) of Moore, SC; nieces, Sydney, Ryan, and Laney Turnipseed; nephew, Holt Turnipseed; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Karl and Sondra Senn of Sandy Run, SC. A memorial service for Brac will take place at 1:00 PM Monday, March 2, 2015, at the Tyger River Presbyterian Church, officiated by the Rev. Dr. Doug Cushing and the Rev. Dr. Al Masters. A reception at the church will follow the service.
