Boyce Clifford Beaty, 76, of Arcadia, SC, died Friday, January 2, 2015, at Magnolia Manor-Spartanburg. Born August 10, 1938, in Spartanburg County, he was the son of the late William Lester Beaty and Effie Mae Harvey Beaty, and husband of the late Norma Williams Collins Beaty. He was a former supervisor at Butte Knit and attended Westgate Free Will Baptist Church, was a member of Arcadia Masonic Lodge #285 and Arcadia Fire Department and Rescue One. Survivors include his brother, Grady Beaty (Ann) of Spartanburg; his sister, Fairlene Underwood (Frank) of Spartanburg; his stepson, Terry Lee (Sherry) Collins of Spartanburg; his step-grandchildren, Cody Collins and Kace (Kelly) Lazurick; his step-great-granddaughter, Talynn Lazurick; his sister-in-law, Margaret Beaty of Spartanburg; and special friends, Bert Bishop, Rusty Pack, and Sonny Emory. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by two brothers, Leroy Beaty and his wife Julia, and Troy Beaty; and a sister, Margaret McDade and husband Lewis McDade. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday, January 5, 2015, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307, by the Rev. Dr. Keith Taylor. Visitation will follow at the graveside. The family will be at their respective homes.
